Colleen Meeks, LCSW

Colleen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW008539) in the state of Georgia. Colleen graduated from Texas State University with a Masters in Social Work in 2017 and has extensive experience supporting children and families facing emotional and life challenges.

Colleen specializes in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), an evidence-based intervention that engages children in a developmentally appropriate way. CCPT has been proven to be effective treating young children ages 3 to 14 who are experiencing social, emotional, behavioral and relational disorders. While developing this specialty, Colleen trained closely under internationally-recognized CCPT expert Dr. Brenna Hicks and is active in her global training community. Her ages of expertise include 3-12 and issues such as ADHD, Gifted/High Achieving children, Anxiety issues, ASD and Neurodivergence, and Adjustment concerns.

Further, she supports caregivers as they support their children. She views therapeutic relationships as collaborative partnerships and strives to engage her clients with respect and curiosity.

When not in the office, Colleen can be found hiking or spending time with her husband, five children, and two Golden Retrievers or trying to read a novel without interruption.
